IFI announces its new director

IFI announces its new director



The fresh Film director of the Irish Gaelic Film Constitute has been announced.
Sarah Glennie will take up the position in autumn 2008.
Glennie has antecedently worked as Managing director of the Model Humanistic discipline and Niland Veranda and Commissioner of the Irish whiskey Pavillion at the Venezia Biennale 2005.
She has curated projects for PS1 MoMA, Fresh House of York, and Cork 2005 and held positions at the H Henry Moore Innovation and the Irish Museum of Modern Artwork.
Commenting on Glennie's appointment, Eve-Anne Cullinan, Chairwoman of IFI, said: "Sarah has a wealth of experience in strategic cultural planning and of running and workings in world cultural institutions both in Hibernia and internationally. We ar delighted to receive Sarah Glennie to IFI to lead one of the country's most popular cultural venues into an exciting period in its chronicle."
Among the freshly projects to be undertaken by the IFI ar a restoration of the IFI centre in Dublin's Eustace Street; a collaborationism with the Dundalk Bring of Technology on a new readiness for the Irish Plastic film Archive and a three-year strategy design.
